A strategic Summit, co-organized by Fibes Sevilla, which is presented as a meeting point for all the economic sectors involved in sustainability and climate restoration, as well as a catalyst that stimulates public-private collaboration and favors the attraction of investment towards the green and blue economies.

The Summit has the support of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, Prime Minister of Spain from 2004 to 2011.

On 5 and 6 July, Seville will host the best experts and professionals in the field of sustainability, climate action and the green and blue economy, through a series of presentations, case studies and round tables. The Climate Action Seville Summit will be held at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos Fibes I, Avenida Alcalde Luis Uruñuela, 1, Seville.

Objectives

  • Promote the Spanish proposal for climate action and environmental sustainability in the European Union, especially in the year of the Spanish presidency of the Council of the EU.
  • Raise awareness among companies, governments, administrations and citizens about the relevance of the sustainable economy as an essential agent to achieve global environmental resilience and promote a new economy.
  • Promote technological innovation linked to respect for biodiversity, climate restoration and regeneration of ecosystems.
  • Promote renewal in the classic economic sectors to enable their access to the regulated framework of financial aid, following the objectives set at COP15.
  • Help generate public-private collaboration and investment in a sustainable economy.
